Our newest exhibition is by one of the area’s most intriguing wordsmiths, poet Jan Noble, who is taking over the salon walls to coincide with this year’s Stoke Newington Literary Festival.
Beginning Sunday 9 June until 1 September 2013, Sonnets from the Salon will be our ‘art’ exhibition of the summer. Beaucatcher becomes Mr.Noble’s open studio for the weekend of Lit Fest (8-9 June) and all are welcome to stop in and read. There will be surprises – perhaps you may witness them.
On Sunday 30 June, Beaucatcher will host a private view for Jan Noble from 6-9pm with special guests Charlie Finke and Justine Armatage of The Cesarians and of course a poetry reading by Jan.
As part of the Festival, Jan will be reading with Irvine Welsh in the town hall (3 June) and playing with Monkey Island, supporting Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth at Babble Jar on 6 June.
