Our next artist is Mick Terry. Born in the bleak winter of 1968 and raised by ducks on the River Thames where he first fell in, and fell in love with, the bleakness of muddy water.
Having singularly succeeded in not becoming an actor or exotic dancer, he moved to Stoke Newington in the early ’90s and began to paint in earnest. Now he spends his time shuttling between London and Essex where he is newly inspired by the coast, rivers and skies. Self-taught and self-indulged, he has recently had exhibitions of his seascape paintings in Soho, Burnham-on-Crouch and the Scilly Isles, and has privately sold his work to collectors all around the world.
This is a small show of new work done over the latter, fatter part of 2019 and the beginner, thinner part of 2020.
