Starting on 4 May we will host an art exhibition by Marilza Gouvea. Marilza has lived in Stoke Newington for the last 20 years and has a studio in Broadway Market.
Her exhibition will be called Sketches of Andalucia, about which Marilza says:
With my watercolours In this exhibition I want to share with others this feeling and I am reminded of Paul Klee when he wrote in his diary “Colour possesses me, it will always possess me”. I am inspired by those vibrant colours and the musicality of the people that I have encountered in the Pueblos Blancos over the years. By trying to paint what I see around me I search for a way to share the great pleasure and happiness I experience just by being there.
