On Valentine’s weekend we have a new set of work appearing in the salon. Jan Nockolds is a painter and illustrator who has lived and worked in Hackney for over twenty years.
The work exhibited here is part of a project which originated from an interest in windows and the combination of shapes and colours seen through the window added to those reflected in the glass from the world outside.
The shop and cafe windows on Stoke Newington Church Street were so interesting, colourful and attractive that they became the central theme of the project.”
