We have a new art exhibition on now in the salon, with gorgeous local photography by our long-time client Ed Taylor. Ed is an art director, photographer and illustrator, and he says about himself:
I studied at Kingston University (BA hons Illustration – 1st class) graduating with an internationally award-winning animated film — which led to a career as a designer and director of computer animation where I’ve since created a number of animated series and numerous television commercials. In more recent years I’ve fallen in love with photography – which has afforded some respite from dark rooms with bearded men and computers (you can have too much of a good thing!)
I’ve lived in “Stokey” for almost 17 years and feel wonderfully at home here. Heaven knows how many times I’ve run around the park and strolled up and down Church Street all the while noting the little changes and improvements. Clissold Park is moments from my home and you can see a number of photographs capturing its best bits. I’m especially fond of the blue paddling pool: home of wild splashing and screams of delight on a summer’s day, becoming a serene mirror as the sun sets: Inspiration for my “Stokey Submarine” image. This exhibition shows new limited edition photographs – many taken locally – that have not been previously published or exhibited. I hope you enjoy the pictures!
