Next up is our annual Valentine’s Day Art by Kids for Kids exhibition.
This is when we ask you to get your children to be creative! The theme this year is “Picture This – What I Love Is…” Beaucatcher ambassador Frankie will be curating and asks that kids enter works of photography showing what they love. With today’s ‘easy as’ digital cameras and home printing, photography can be for everyone. Children should decide on their subjects, point, click and print and show the world what’s in their hearts. The photographs should be handed in to the salon, framed or not, by 7 February 2011.
Children can feel free to decorate their photos in any way as long as the main part of the art is a photo. We expect to see lots of photos of Stoke Newington, cuddly pets, moms and well, the mind boggles at the all the possibilities! Please make sure the artists name and contact info is on the back!!!
From 8 February we will begin taking votes on the photos at a cost of £1 per vote. Also you may place a silent bid to purchase the photos. At the end, all money raised goes to Family Action. The photos that receive the most votes will win prizes from local shops and restaurants. So far we’ve got great gifts from Church Street Bookshop, Luigi’s Trattoria, The Tea Rooms, Early Bird, Of Cabbages and Kings plus many more. Hand over that camera! Picture This!
