There are opportunities available for dynamic hairstylists to join The Beaucatcher Salon in the heart of Stoke Newington for a short-term maternity cover contract.
The positions are available part-time (including some weekends), and pay is commission-based or salaried by agreement. We can also discuss chair rental agreements. We are also looking for part-time or full-time salon assistants to work at Beaucatcher where they will be responsible for client care, reception, cleaning and clerical duties.
Applicants must be proficient in cutting and colouring, be willing to learn and adapt as well as to share knowledge. We hope to find people who are willing to learn, teach and share. This is an unmissable opportunity for hard-working stylists to build or expand their clientèle, and they will find themselves in the perfect location to do well.
Beaucatcher has a variable clientèle, so flexibility and creativity are essential. Ours are long-term clients, so an ability to develop and keep good client relations is of the utmost importance. We have regular sessions of education and brain-storming from within and without the salon and expect everyone to participate.
Our techniques are traditional when called for, and more creative when tradition does not satisfy. Beaucatcher is very active in our community; we are involved in local art and music events as well as celebrations of our fantastic neighbourhood. Most importantly, we prefer candidates who are interested in working together within our team as well as those able to be independent and take initiative. We will welcome stylists with ideas and questions; we will provide support and a wonderful work environment.
English proficiency is absolutely necessary and applicants must have all required documentation for legal work in the UK, certification for hairdressing and at least three years post-training experience.

Successful applicants will be interviewed and perform trials in cutting and colouring.
