For the eighth year running we will be supporting Solace Women’s Aid with our Message In a Bauble gift drive. The terms are slightly different due to Covid-19 restrictions and because of the lockdown, gifting time is limited. We will accept donations up until Monday 14 December. Please see below for the rules around your very welcome donations:
- We are only accepting new gifts.
- Please do not wrap the gifts; dedicated frontline workers pick out which gifts would be best for each woman and child, so need to see contents.
- Do not exceed value of £20. This is to ensure that there is even distribution of gfts.
- Due to increased Covid-19 restrictions, we are encouraging gift cards as much as possible this year. These are easy to distribute and also offer women opportunity to choose the gifts they would like/need. We find this can be really empowering for women. It can also gives parents the opportunity to purchase gifts for their children, which they might not have been able to do otherwise.
Those who donate a gift will be invited to choose a bauble from the Beaucatcher tree which will contain a little thank-you prize. This is such a special way to help out and we do understand that the challenges we have all been under are tough, even more so for those who are living with and hopefully escaping domestic violence. While out doing your own holiday shopping, please think to grab a small item suitable for a woman or child to add to our collection. Thank you so much for your participation!
